New Online Procurement Portal

The Government of Barbados is modernizing its national procurement system in an effort to improve the effectiveness of public procurement, save money through competitive prices and reduce process time while ensuring transparency and integrity of the system. To this end, the Public Procurement Act was passed in both Houses of Parliament in December 2021 and is expected to come into effect during 2023.

The Government has also partnered with Bonfire Interactive to create a new procurement portal that will allow vendors to access business opportunities and submit bids and proposals digitally.

The Public Procurement Act prohibits Government entities from entering into a procurement contract with a vendor unless the vendor has been registered by the Chief Procurement Officer. Vendors are therefore requested to visit Barbados new Procurement portal  then follow the link to the Bonfire Vendor Registration page to register.

Registration is easy and free. If you have any challenges with the registration process, please visit the Bonfire Vendor Registration Support page.

The Government of Barbados is excited about the changes we are making to streamline our electronic bid process and we look forward to continuing our good relationship with you and appreciate your interest.
